A Kentucky Couple Gets a Surprise Visitor Before Mother's Day

LEXINGTON, Ky. — For Mother’s Day, one mom in Kentucky had a surprise baby. Dad will never forget this story.

Brooke Canady, who was 37 weeks pregnant, says she did not go to work on Wednesday because she felt sick. Later that same day, she had to go to the doctor.

Brooke and her husband Jeff were on their way to the hospital when they ran into something strange. Little Truett Wesley Canady began to come into the world while Jeff was at the stop light on Nicholasville Road, making his way to the front door of the hospital.

Brooke said, “I saw him come out, but I didn’t say anything.” “He was driving like crazy, and I saw his head, then his little shoulders, and then his little arms reach up. I put him on my chest as we pulled into valet, and he parked the truck without knowing I had the baby on board and looked at me like he had just seen a ghost.”

In the middle of all the chaos and excitement, Brooke delivered a healthy boy named Truett Wesley Canady. He weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and was 19 inches tall.
