Arizona Man Found Guilty for Fatal Jet Ski Accident on Lake Mead

LAS VEGAS— In the year 2022, a man from Arizona was found guilty of operating a jet ski in a negligent manner, which resulted in the death of his passenger on Lake Mead.

A judge in the United States of America found Bryce Tyrone Verhonich, who is 47 years old, guilty of riding the jet ski in a negligent manner, failing to wear a life jacket, and failing to attach the engine cut-off switch lanyard. The verdict was on Thursday.

According to the records filed with the court, Verhonich and his guest were riding a jet ski from his houseboat to the Hoover Dam on the 30th of June, 2022.

However, as the weather conditions became more severe, Veronica is said to have made a sudden turn, which resulted in the passenger falling off the jet ski, according to the records.

Verhonich and his passenger were not wearing life jackets at the time of the incident. On the sixth of July in the year 2022, the body of the passenger was discovered from Lake Mead.

The sentencing of Verhonich is set to take place on August 5th.
