Frontier Airlines Deboards Flight After Passenger Refuses Exit Row Instructions

A Frontier Airlines passenger refused to follow cabin crew orders to get off the plane, so everyone else had to do it too.

In a video that became popular on May 9, travel blogger Tia (@travelwithtia23) showed how an unidentified woman in glasses got into a fight with airline workers. At the same time, other people on the plane were begging her to get off for everyone’s sake.

As soon as this woman saw the exit row when she first got on the plane, she said, “Oh, I’m not going to save anyone.” “I’m going to save myself if something happens,” Tia said. “That’s how she felt the whole time she was being seated.” And I knew something was going to go wrong when she acted that way.

The video shows the woman fighting with a flight attendant, and she points to another flight attendant and says, “Yeah, she’s talking to me. What’s the matter?”

“Because she doesn’t want to say her name?” She talked over the flight attendant as she put her drink down on the floor of the plane. “If it’s going to be a problem-” was what the flight attendant tried to finish.

“A trouble? What’s the matter? The woman spoke up while the flight attendant was still trying to give the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)-mandated exit row directions. This doesn’t bother us at all. We know that we need to help people off the plane and, if something goes wrong, help Betty White.

“What’s the matter?” As people laughed in the background, she said, “We agreed.” The flight attendant then left the room. “Don’t waste your breath.” Are they going to take this plane off the ground?”

The woman then gave the other flight attendant her phone and grabbed a snack. She then turned to the other flight attendant and yelled, “Get out of my damn face.”

“Did you ask her to agree?” “You’re not doing your job,” she said again as the flight attendant put her hands in front of the passenger’s face. The passenger jumped back and took a bite of her snack. “Betty, you need to get out of my face.”

The flight attendant walked away after a few more words, but as she started to eat her snack, another worker came over with a piece of paper. The customer got angry right away, and the worker tried to calm her down. It was the worker who said, “They said you weren’t listening.”

The woman tried to make her case by saying that other people had seen her follow the directions, but the airline worker waved over another flight attendant.

“Everyone agreed.” “Everyone can see that,” the woman said as she took off to fly to watch her 4-year-old grandson while his mother went on vacation. “I’m not getting off this plane, and my grandson is getting off. He skipped school because his mom took a flight to Mexico.”

The captain then stepped in and told the guests, “Ladies and gentlemen, we’ll be leaving here soon. We need to take care of this.” The police will be there soon.

In the end, police officers helped her get off the plane at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in North Carolina, but everyone else had to get off with her.

According to FAA rules, people sitting in an exit row must not only read the instructions but also orally confirm that they will help others in an emergency. The woman who has not been identified did not do this.
