Teen Girl Allegedly Attempts to Murder Mother, Claiming Suppression of Her Black Identity as Motive

A young girl from Mississippi is being held in an adult prison for allegedly trying to kill her own mother. The attack was violent and seemed to be motivated by a group of occult beliefs.

A press statement from the Gulfport Police Department on Monday said that 15-year-old Lexi Jade Brown is being charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of arson in the first degree.

The cops say the event happened early in the morning on June 14. At that time, police say they got a call about a cutting event at a house on Dee Avenue in a mostly rural part of Gulfport that is next to a big forest.

When police got at the house on the last block of Dee Avenue at 2:33 a.m., they saw that the alleged victim had been stabbed several times.

Police say the girl’s mother told them she was asleep when the fight started and woke up to find her daughter reportedly attacking her with a knife. The mother reportedly said that her daughter then tried to start a fire inside the house after she pushed the girl away.

The mother of the girl was taken to a nearby hospital to get better. The world does not yet know how bad her injuries are.

Police say the suspect told them the truth about the violent crime.

Brown is said to have told police straight out that she had been planning to kill her mother for a long time because she thought the older woman was a “weird b–––.”

According to police, the 15-year-old girl also said her mother had been “suppressing the black in her.”

The probe is still going on.

Police say that Brown was arrested and taken to the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. Court Judge Nick Patano of District 5 set her bond at $1.25 million.

As of this writing, however, there is no public record of a county jail person using any form of Brown’s name.

Law&Crime asked the Gulfport Police Department and the courts in Harrison County for more information about this story, but as of the time of release, they had not responded.
