A man riding an e-bike died when he was run over by a box truck driver in lower Manhattan after being “doored” by a van Thursday morning, police said.
The victim was pedaling west on Broome St. when he slammed into the door of a Mercedes van just opened by the driver near Centre St. at about 10:10 a.m.
“It happened so fast,” the van driver, who declined to give his name, told the Daily News. “I opened the door. I didn’t even see the guy. I only saw the accident. But I saw a video, and it seemed like he hit my door.”
That collision sent the bicyclist veering into the path of a red delivery box truck, and he was crushed when the driver ran over him.

The 54-year-old box truck driver remained at the scene, cops said. It is not yet clear if he or the person in the van will be charged or summonsed.
The victim was rushed by medics to Bellevue Hospital but could not be saved. Cops were working to determine his identity.
“I saw them still working on him in [the ambulance], like pumping,” said a worker at nearby home-goods store Clic, who gave his name as Paul. “He definitely wasn’t coming back, and they were all over him.”
