UPPER EAST SIDE, Manhattan — Police say that a building doorman is a neighborhood hero because he saved a woman on Saturday morning.
Police say a 19-year-old woman was walking on 90th Street near York Avenue just before 1:30 a.m. when she was pushed by an unknown guy who then tried to sexually assault her.
Police say that’s when a doorman at a nearby building heard the noise and acted quickly. The man who was trying to attack the 19-year-old was scared off by him.
Police say they are still looking for the guy who is suspected of assaulting the woman. He is six feet tall and was last seen wearing dark pants and a black sweatshirt with white stripes, according to the police.
