EARLSBORO, Okla. — A woman from Earlsboro was hit and killed while walking on Saturday. Her family remembers her as a wonderful mother and hopes cops find the person who hit her.
OHP said 50-year-old Tayna Couteau was walking down Jack Hall Drive after leaving her cousin’s house when she was hit and killed by a car.
Lacinda Reecer, her daughter, said, “It’s really hard to have to go through this. I just really hope that the driver comes forward.” “I burst into tears.”
It was a very sad day for Couteau’s family as they stood near the place where she died.
Reecer said, “My mother was a wonderful person.” “She had a good heart all the time.”
The family is trying to remember the good times, even though it’s hard.
Reecer said, “She was the best grandmother to my kids.”
“That was my aunt.” “She was wonderful,” her niece Skyla Moore said. “A lot of people loved her.”
But Couteau’s family won’t give up until the person who killed her is caught.
“Go to jail, because this is an aunt, mom, grandma, and everything else, and she didn’t deserve that,” Moore said.
OHP said they are looking for a gray car that doesn’t have a mirror on the passenger side and probably has damage to the front of the car on the passenger side. Give them a call if you know anything.
