Kansas City beat Los Angeles 19–17 thanks to a field goal by kicker Matthew Wright that won the game. The corner kick that won the game went off the left upright but over the goal, giving the Chiefs the win.
His team has won the AFC West for the ninth year in a row, thanks to Andy Reid.
“Winning the AFC West is our first goal every year,” Mahomes said after the game. “It’s a great split.” The fact that three teams are likely to make the playoffs shows what kind of division we play in. There are a lot of ties, and each team has played each other hard. It was a big game for us against a great football team because we wanted to win the division and move up in the playoff rankings. We got a win, but we need to keep building if we want to reach our final goal.
On the field, the Chiefs won, but it was the “stunning” dancer who stole the show.
