The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says that a person from Twiggs County died in an accident in Macon on Wednesday morning.
Around 10:25 a.m., the accident happened near where Finneydale Drive and another road meet. A tractor-trailer that was stopped in the middle turning lane of the road was hit by 44-year-old D’Mya Clark, who was driving west on Jeffersonville Road. The sheriff’s office said Clark “appeared to have lost control.”
There was a problem with the tractor-trailer, so it had to stop. The driver was inside the lifted hood of the truck cab when the accident happened. The sheriff’s office said the truck driver had minor injuries.
From what the sheriff’s office said, Clark was declared dead at the scene. Their family had been told that they had died.
