Man Accused of Burglarizing Pittsburgh Thrift Store Returns to Scene Days Later

Police say the guy who broke into the Red, White, and Blue Thrift Store on Sawmill Run Boulevard 12 days ago went back to the scene of the crime.

The break-in took place on July 14. According to the court papers, the back door was open and the rear window was broken.

The police said that one of the cash machines and the jewelry display case were broken.

The thieves didn’t take any money, but the thrift store thought the gold they took was worth $3,000.

Someone in the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police sent pictures of the suspect to the rest of the force on July 25. The next day, 36-year-old William Skinner was found looking around the shop.

The photo that was sent out helped the police officer who arrived at the scene spot Skinner.

Criminal trespassing, criminal mischief, theft, and receiving stolen goods are the charges against Skinner.
