When cops found a man in Florida climbing out of his window with his roommate’s body parts on him, they shot him and killed him.
A woman and her young children were seen “hiding in a carport” in Fort Myers, Florida, on Sunday, June 9. This was reported to the police, who said in a statement.
The report says that the woman, whose name is not given, told police that her husband, Willy Lumaine, was “actively killing” their roommate in their home.
The police did not say who the victim was, but his owner told NBC 2 that he was Bonito Francois, an old man who was blind.
FOX 4 got a copy of the incident report that said Lumaine, 33, had been mad since the day before the killing for no clear reason. NBC 2 says that the owner said Lumaine and the victim were fighting because the victim wouldn’t leave the house.
The incident report that PEOPLE looked over says that Lumaine left the house on the day of the event “because it was too hot.” When his wife woke up, she heard screams for help.
Someone yelled, “Help!” and the wife heard it. I’m dying!” The story says that she ran away with her kids out of fear.
She is said to have told their owner that the victim asked, “Are you going to kill me, Mr. Willy?” Why do you kill me? “What did I do to you?” NBC 2 was told by the owner.
The incident report says that when police arrived at the scene, they saw a blood trail and Lumaine holding a big knife as he walked up to the back window of the house. He broke a window next to an officer as he came out of the house with a knife and “a partially bloody torso.”
The report says that even though the police told him to drop the knife, he “continued to slash with the knife to break the window” to get outside.
The cops used tasers on him because he kept refusing to do what they said, the report says. The report says Lumaine kept walking toward the police officers and “slashed at them.”
The report says that police started shooting at Lumaine because he “refused their commands to drop the knife” even though he was tasered. At the scene, they said he was dead.
As the investigation went on, police found signs of a violent attack in the house, such as the roommate’s “mutilated and dismembered body parts” spread out in different rooms, the department said in a statement.
This is what the incident report says: The body parts of the victim were found near a trash can outside the house.
The probe is still going on. The officers who shot the person have been put on administrative leave, as required by department rules, the department said in a statement.
