MIAMI — Barron Trump, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump, has been selected to serve as a delegate for the state of Florida at the Republican National Convention, according to the chairman of the state party, who announced on Wednesday.
Evan Power, the chairman of the Republican Party of Florida, announced that the high school senior, who is 18 years old, will be one of the 41 at-large delegates from the state of Florida who will attend the national meeting. At this gathering, the Republican Party is going to officially nominate his father as its presidential candidate for the general election in November. That Barron Trump was selected to serve as a delegate was initially reported by NBC News.
However, Barron Trump turned 18 in March and will be graduating from high school the following week. Barron Trump has been kept out of the public glare for the most part so far. As a means of allowing Donald Trump to attend his son’s graduation, the judge who is presiding over the hush money trial that is taking place in New York has announced that there would be no court on May 17.
Additional members of the Florida delegation attending the convention that will take place in Milwaukee from July 15 to July 18 are Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Tiffany Trump, who is the youngest daughter of President Trump.
According to a statement that was sent out via email by Power, “We are fortunate to have a great group of grassroots leaders, elected officials, and members of the Trump family working together as part of the Florida delegation to the 2024 Republican National Convention.”
