Woman Stabbed During Robbery in South St. Louis, Suspect Still at Large

St. Louis, MO – A 29-year-old woman was seriously injured Thursday morning after being stabbed during a robbery in south St. Louis’ Dutchtown neighborhood, police reported.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD), the incident occurred shortly before 10:30 a.m. on the 3700 block of Chippewa Street.

Details of the Robbery

Police said the victim was sitting inside her vehicle when an unknown woman approached, opened the car door, and threatened her with a knife. The suspect reportedly told the victim not to move.

During the confrontation, the victim tried to grab the knife from the suspect, resulting in a stab wound to her neck. The suspect then fled with the victim’s purse, which contained cash.

The victim ran from the scene and received emergency medical care before being transported to a nearby hospital. She is currently listed in serious but stable condition.

Investigation Underway

SLMPD confirmed that the investigation is ongoing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the robbery to call 314-444-0100.
