(Grey News) Authorities in Massachusetts have discovered the body of a lady who vanished on Christmas Eve while out for a walk with her dog.
A statement from the Essex County District Attorney’s Office stated that the body of 30-year-old Owen Kasozi was found on Christmas Day in Wenham Lake in the J.C. Philips Nature Preserve.
On Christmas Eve, she was last spotted taking her dog into the nature park.
Authorities believe that Kasozi was unable to escape after falling into the icy lake.
Her dog was located safely, the statement continued.
There is currently no suspicion of foul play. The medical examiner will, however, decide her official cause of death.
A GoFundMe created by Kasozi’s family describes her as a lively individual who made everyone she came into contact with laugh and smile.
As her family said, we come to you with sorrowful hearts to convey the awful loss of our dear sister and daughter, Owen Kasozi, who died on Christmas Day while out for a walk with her dog.
According to her relatives, she loved her friends and family very much, and we will all be greatly saddened by her absence.
