INDIANAPOLIS (latestsports) — Police have arrested a 22-year-old man after a woman was found dead with evidence of blunt force trauma in an apartment on the south side of Indianapolis early Monday morning.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were dispatched to the 7800 block of Ella Dobbs Lane, near Madison Avenue and East Stop 11 Road, following a report of a death investigation just before 6 a.m. on December 30.
When they arrived, police discovered the woman unresponsive inside the apartment with visible injuries consistent with blunt force trauma. Despite the swift arrival of emergency medical personnel, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect in Custody
Shortly after launching their investigation, IMPD officers identified and arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the woman’s death. The suspect’s name has not yet been released, pending formal charges.
Authorities are treating the incident as a homicide and have begun piecing together the events leading up to the tragic discovery.
