Milwaukee, WI – A Wisconsin man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for the horrific murder and dismemberment of 19-year-old Sade C. Robinson, whom he met for the first time on a date in April 2024. The case, described by investigators as one of the most disturbing homicides in recent memory, left Robinson’s family and the entire Milwaukee community reeling in shock and grief.
Sentenced Without Parole
Maxwell Anderson, 34, showed no remorse as he was sentenced Friday for first-degree intentional homicide, mutilation of a corpse, and arson. The judge rejected Anderson’s claims of innocence and condemned his lack of accountability.
“I don’t think that you have gotten to the point of taking any form of responsibility for what transpired,” said Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Laura Crivello during sentencing.
Victim’s Family Unleashes Grief and Rage
The courtroom turned emotional as Sade Robinson’s parents addressed Anderson directly, calling him a “devil” and “demon.” Her mother, Sheena Scarbrough, expressed her fury:
“Judge, I’m asking this demon be respectfully returned back to hell as soon as possible.”
She also called Anderson a “fake man” and said he had “messed with the wrong family,” vowing he would be eternally haunted by what he did.
Sade’s father, Carlos Robinson, was equally devastated:
“Everything that he did should be done to him. No man should be able to live after what he did.”
Chilling Evidence Uncovered
Anderson, who had planned the attack in advance, reportedly covered his basement floor-to-ceiling in painter’s tarp, installed a sanitation sink, and kept three saws. Investigators discovered graphic photos on Anderson’s phone, including one of him holding Robinson’s breast while she appeared either unconscious or dead on the floor.
“That was pretty damning evidence… I felt like I was going to throw up,” said juror Melissa Blascoe, describing the disturbing photos.

Body Parts Recovered, But Torso Still Missing
Robinson’s leg and foot were discovered on Lake Michigan shores, horrifying beachgoers. Despite extensive searching, her torso has never been recovered. Inside Anderson’s basement, police found blood in the bedroom, walls leading downstairs, and a room some described as a “sex dungeon.”
Prosecutors said Anderson may have been inspired by the Netflix series “Love, Death & Robots”, particularly an episode involving a dismembered corpse on a beach.
Sade Robinson Remembered
Robinson, who was nearing her associate degree in criminal justice, dreamed of joining the U.S. Air Force and was known for her kindness and work ethic. Her mother vowed to keep her memory alive by becoming an advocate for missing persons.
“She will forever be remembered as an angel,” Scarbrough said.
