Melania Trump wasn’t in the courtroom when Donald Trump was being tried for hush money, but she was there when the decision was read. The ex-first lady and her husband’s recently graduated son Barron were in Manhattan on Thursday night.
Somebody who spoke to Page Six said that Melania and Barron “were smuggled in through the side entrance” of Trump Tower, where close friends of the former president had “gathered.” It’s not clear when they got there from Florida. When all 34 charges were found guilty, a second source told the news organization that “it’s like a funeral” at the fancy New York City address.
“Everyone says that Melania and the rest of the family are behind the former president,” they said. Still, the mood is getting worse and worse right now. At Mar-a-Lago, it’s seen as a bad thing. There was “hope” at the beginning of the day, but that quickly went away when the first guilty decision was read.
Three different sources said that the family was “upset,” but they didn’t think it was as bad as the news was making it sound because they were focused on the upcoming election. “Trump says the real verdict will be in November, when people vote,” they said. The Trump family is behind their dad, and the ex-president “talked to both Melania and all of his children, including Ivanka,” right after the decision.
Stephanie Grisham, who used to be Donald Trump’s press secretary, responded to the fact that Melania and Ivanka weren’t at the trial. She told CNN that it “absolutely” bothered him. I know it makes him mad. He would not like that kind of thing. She said, “If Mrs. Trump wasn’t at an event and it was really known, he would bring it up with her.”
“So, I’m sure it’s really bothering him in this situation.” Even though women didn’t want to publicly back Donald Trump after he was found guilty of falsifying business papers related to paying Stormy Daniels hush money, Ivanka made a post on her Instagram Story that made it clear where she stands. She wrote, “I love you dad” and added a red heart emoji.
