HOUSTONA: More victims are beginning to come forward as authorities investigate several claims against a 47-year-old man who is presently facing five charges related to the assault of two different women.
He is the kind of person who believes he is untouchable, and what he did is unacceptable. One woman, who wished to remain anonymous but submitted a report to the sheriff’s office on Tuesday, stated, “He believes that this will pass, he’s going to get out and he will continue to do it.”

She had previously known Redfield, but last year she reconnected with him on a hookup website.
Redfield pretended to be an attorney and offered to help pay her expenses in exchange for sex after the single mother of two claimed she had fallen on hard times and needed assistance making ends meet to support her kids.
He just said, “Look, there’s $1,000 on the floor right now,” one evening. She said, “Send me all of your bill information.” He even asked me if I wanted to be his girlfriend and date him, promising to support me financially.
She eventually went to an apartment where he was, she claimed, and discovered him using what she thought was a 9mm pistol to do vodka shots. He claimed to have cancer and to be suicidal, so he wanted to help people and give back, she added.
The woman said that he never deposited the money into her rent account or paid the money he had promised after their meeting. Eventually, she stopped requesting money.
She said, “Here’s this lawyer, here’s this guy with all this power,” and I was intimidated and pressured into believing it.
She claimed that reading about his arrest on Click2Houston.com on Monday night caused her to relive the event.
“There are sick people out there, and sometimes they can do things we didn’t even know they could do,” she remarked. I realized that there was a f****** camera in the room after reading the article, which made me relive it and reflect on everything. All I could think about when the camera was aimed at the bed was what might have happened, such as what kind of sick material might have been on it.
Investigators in Harris County reported that they discovered an excessive amount of sexual encounter films, and that some victims were unaware that they were being filmed. They added that every one of his victims had described a similar pattern of coercion and manipulation.
Nicholas Cooke, the lead detective, urged everyone to come forward, regardless of how or why they may have encountered Redfield.
The survivors are our top priority, and we are not here to go to great lengths to remove children or cross-prosecute anyone. We are here to advocate for justice and to be your voice. Therefore, if someone is a victim of this, don’t worry that we’re attempting to pry into their lives, reveal their history, or do anything else of that sort. According to Det. Cooke, we are here to uphold justice to the extent that they are willing to assist us.
