Twin Sibling Accidentally Shoots 2-year-old in Georgia Home, Child in Stable Condition

A two-year-old youngster was hospitalized after being inadvertently shot by their twin sibling.

Fox 5 Atlanta, WSBTV, and Atlanta News First reported that the toddler was shot at a home on Robin Hood Lane in Hampton, Ga., at 12 p.m. local time on Wednesday, March 12.

The 2-year-old, whose name has not been disclosed, was allegedly airlifted to a local hospital after being treated on the scene by Henry County Fire Rescue units, according to the reports.

According to Fox 5, the child’s condition is stable. According to the outlet, detectives suspect the victim’s twin sibling “gained possession of the firearm” and inadvertently shot it.

According to WSBTV and Atlanta News First, it is unclear whether anyone has been charged in connection with the event.

The incident is still being investigated.
