The Atwater Police Department made the announcement on Monday that a five-year-old child was taken to the hospital after being struck by a truck in Atwater.
An accident between a car and a pedestrian was reported to have occurred in the 5200 block of Crest Avenue in Atwater, according to the officers who rushed to the scene shortly before 5 o’clock.
According to the police, they discovered a youngster who was five years old and had been struck by a truck when they arrived. An air ambulance was used to transport the little child, who was five years old at the time, to a nearby hospital.
