KHOU, El Campo, Texas Several tornadoes, including one that wrecked an 80-year-old farm, were brought to the region southwest of Houston by storms on Thursday.
It was unbelievable to me. Reid Strnadel remarked, “You know, I’ve never seen a tornado.” We actually only get hurricanes down here, after all.
Strnadel assists in managing the ranch and farm that have been in his family’s possession for eight decades.
Strnadel claimed that a friend had texted his wife cell phone video on Thursday afternoon.
He became aware that a huge tornado was approaching his property.
The first barn owned by the Strnadel family was demolished by the tornado, which also sent wood and sheet metal fragments flying.
They claimed to have located some of the wreckage hundreds of yards distant in their corn fields.
Strnadel stated that it passed directly in the center of our back barn and this front barn.
One barn’s wall was destroyed by the tornado, while another barn’s top was taken off. Strnadel’s boat, which he had been keeping inside, was also moved.
However, all of this is better than what may have occurred. The family’s house was right adjacent to the tornado.
It certainly could have been worse. “Oh,” Strnadel remarked.
