Toddler Found Wandering Alone Sparks Discovery of 3 Family Members Dead Inside Home

An investigation into an abandoned baby case that was reported hours earlier has prompted the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Tennessee Bureau of probe to be called in to aid local law enforcement with a troubling and “deeply saddening” probe. This week, the bodies of a mother, father, grandmother, and 15-year-old were discovered by officials who were investigating the case.

Local District Attorney Danny Goodman Jr. of the 29th Judicial District stated on Wednesday that the child related to the family is a seven-month-old child. According to Goodman, the child is the son of Matthew Wilson and Adrianna Williams, who were discovered dead on Tuesday evening at approximately eight o’clock. Goodman also stated that the infant’s grandmother, Cortney Rose, and his maternal teen uncle, Braden Williams, were also present at the time of the discovery.

According to Goodman, “TBI is interviewing individuals who may have information,” and he also mentioned that “several people” are being questioned simultaneously.

“This is not something that would just be a random event that should concern the average citizen,” Goodman explained to reporters. In this particular scenario, I do not believe that there is a need for a great deal of public worry on the possibility of an occurrence similar to this occurring to another individual. At a later point in time, there will be an explanation for it.

After the victims were discovered on Tuesday in Lake County near Carrington Road in Tiptonville, according to officials from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), federal investigators and TBI agents were present on the ground on Wednesday to assist law enforcement with the investigation into the “tragic” tragedy.

The investigation into the disappearance of the baby was prompted by the fact that Wilson and Williams’ seven-month-old child was found in the front yard of a “random individual” on Tuesday at approximately 3:10 p.m., according to the police. According to Goodman, it was reported that a “dark-colored minivan or a white mid-size SUV” had dropped off the infant in a car seat. This led to the police being sent to Lake County, and the bodies were discovered approximately five hours later, after the authorities had identified the child’s parents.

“TBI agents, with the assistance of the FBI and the Lake and Dyer County sheriff’s offices, continue to investigate the deaths of four individuals found Tuesday along Carrington Road in Tiptonville,” the TBI Communications Director Josh DeVine said in a statement. “At this time, the investigation remains active and ongoing,” DeVine explained to reporters.

In a message that he published on Facebook, Dyer County Sheriff Jeff Box described Tuesday as a “deeply saddening day” for his community as a result of the finding.

“We are committed to uncovering the truth and ensuring justice is served,” Box stated in his statement.

An announcement was made by Lake County Sheriff Bryan Avery on the Facebook site of his office, informing citizens that the Texas Bureau of Investigation was heading this investigation “with the highest level of diligence and professionalism” imaginable.

“This remains a very active and ongoing investigation,” Avery stated in his statement. We are keeping the friends, relatives, and members of the community who have been impacted by this awful event in our thoughts and prayers. We are aware that you are going through a challenging period, and we are here for you.

Goodman and officials from the Texas Bureau of Investigation did not comment on Wednesday regarding whether or not any criminal activity was suspected or suspects were being sought in connection with the investigation into the deceased. Each and every request for comment made by Law & Crime was forwarded to the bureau by the police. Despite Law&Crime’s repeated requests for comment, the FBI did not provide a response.
