Three Suspects in Drive-By Shooting Lead Deputies on High-Speed Chase in Central GA

After a police chase Sunday morning because of a drive-by shooting, three suspects were caught.

A “BOLO” (be on the lookout) warning was sent to Monroe County deputies just after 9 a.m. about a 2014 Ford Fusion that had been stolen out of Bibb County.

People in charge said they were looking for Octavian Scott, Jadarious Wilkes, and a minor as suspects in a drive-by killing that happened in Jackson, GA.

At 9:18 a.m., officers got a message from the FLOCK camera saying that the car had entered Monroe County on Highway 87.

The police officer did a PIT move, which stopped the car. Police said they found a 9mm handgun in the car while they were searching it. This gun may have been used in the drive-by killing.

Scott was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not going to kill him. He will be charged with felony fleeing, getting stolen property, having marijuana on him, speeding, and not staying in his lane.

The Jackson Police Department took Wilkes and the child into custody.
