Three Companies in Wisconsin Have Now Announced Sudden Layoffs

Three companies in Wisconsin have now announced sudden layoffs, according to WARN letters that say jobs will be lost.

It is important to know that the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act says that companies with more than 100 full-time employees must give 60 days’ notice before firing 50 or more workers in one place.

We need these to be turned in to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.

Charter Communications has said that 122 people working at a plant in Fond du Lac will lose their jobs when it shuts down in August.

A plant run by Baxter Health Corp will also close in August.

In Milwaukee, 32 employees will lose their jobs because of this.

On Monday, Sun Nuclear Corporation sent a warning to the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development.

Three hundred and ninety people in Middleton would lose their jobs because the company had to close a plant.
