Police in Washington state are looking for a guy who they say stabbed a woman in the neck on Tuesday at Clark College.
The woman told the police that she was sitting outside the Archer building on campus when a guy she didn’t know came up to her and screamed for help, according to the Vancouver Police Department.
“She said she thought the man had punched her, but when she saw blood, she knew he had stabbed her,” the cops said.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.
At the same time, the offender ran away on foot and was last seen going north toward Water Works Park. The college was temporarily locked down, but the suspect could not be found by the cops.
Police showed pictures from a surveillance camera of a guy who looked like he was running away. That person was said to be a guy between the ages of 30 and 40 who was East Asian or Middle Eastern, had a beard, and was of average build.
One girl said that the event made her feel worried.
Bailey Miccichi, a student at Clark College, told KATU-TV, “I can’t go for a walk at night or even during the day because I have to worry about people like this guy.”
Police said that a guy who matched the suspect’s description was also involved in an incident in a college parking lot on Monday.
During that time, a guy went up to a woman sitting in her car and tried to talk to her. The man pulled on the driver’s side door when she opened it and tried to get inside. But when the woman screamed, the man ran away.
