The Biden campaign made fun of Donald Trump’s stuttering and use of an “emotional support paper” to give a speech outside of his hush money trial in New York. They did this by using an old attack line against Joe Biden, who stutters sometimes.
Mr. Trump often goes on long rants outside of the Manhattan courthouse where he is on trial for allegedly hiding hush money payments made during the 2016 campaign. On Tuesday, before the closing statements, he started a familiar rant.
As he stumbled through reading from a packet of papers that had positive news clips and quotes from different commentators, the former president said again that he didn’t break any federal laws when he paid adult film actress Stormy Daniels hush money.
Part of the speech was shared on X by Biden-Harris HQ, the campaign’s quick response unit. It described the scene as “A doddering Trump struggles to read off his emotional support paper outside the courthouse.”
People have said bad things about both candidates’ ages and their ability to communicate before the election in November.
Joe Biden is the oldest person to ever live in the White House. He took the title from Donald Trump, who had held it before.
Mr. Trump, on the other hand, has often made fun of Joe Biden’s abilities, calling him “Sleepy Joe” during the 2020 campaign and making fun of the president’s stuttering at recent 2024 campaign events.
They probably aren’t the first thing on either candidate’s mind, though.
The closing statements in the hush money trial are almost over, and the jury could start to talk about the case as early as Wednesday.
For each of the 34 felony charges against him, Mr. Trump could spend up to four years in jail if he is found guilty.
Insiders in Bidenworld are said to be “freaking out” over polls that show Mr. Trump ahead of the incumbent in most of the key states that will decide the race.
