Phoenix, AZ (latestsports)— A New Year’s Eve tragedy unfolded at a Phoenix apartment complex when a man was fatally shot. Police have since arrested the suspected shooter.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on December 31 at an apartment complex near Greenway and Cave Creek roads. Officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered 32-year-old Edi Ruiz inside an apartment. Tragically, Ruiz had suffered fatal gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
