Staten Island Drug Bust: Loaded Gun and Cocaine Seized in New Brighton Raid

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Two men and a woman were arrested in a morning raid at an apartment in the Richmond Terrace Houses, where police say they recovered drugs, a loaded firearm, and cash, according to authorities.

Early Morning Raid

The raid took place on September 18 at around 6 a.m. after officers with search warrants arrived at 456 Richmond Terrace, based on investigations by Narcotics Borough Staten Island.

At the time of the raid, Carlos Feliciano, 44, was located in the rear bedroom, while Takeena Williams, 55, was in the front bedroom. Daquon Williams, 38, was also arrested in connection with the operation.

Weapons and Drugs Seized

Police allege that a Jimenez 9mm pistol, loaded with five bullets in the magazine, was found in the front bedroom. In the rear bedroom, authorities reportedly recovered eight plastic zipper bags containing cocaine powder along with cash.

According to the criminal complaint, Daquon Williams later told police at the 120th Precinct, “I reside there. I do not have a pistol permit.”

None of the defendants were licensed to carry or possess a firearm in New York City or New York State, and they are not registered as dealers in rifles or shotguns.

Charges Filed

The three defendants have been charged with:

  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell
  • Criminal possession of a weapon
  • Criminal possession of a firearm
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance

Carlos Feliciano has a prior conviction for attempted criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree in Manhattan Supreme Court (December 2008), for which he was sentenced to five years in jail in January 2009. Feliciano is scheduled to be arraigned in St. George Supreme Court on October 14.

Takeena Williams has pleaded not guilty to all charges, was released with non-monetary conditions, and is scheduled to return to court on November 25.

Information regarding Daquon Williams’ case is not currently available, but he is actively being prosecuted.

Authorities emphasized that the operation was part of ongoing narcotics enforcement efforts in Staten Island to remove illegal firearms and drugs from the community.

No injuries were reported during the raid, and police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the seized firearm and controlled substances.
