Sources: Texans work out defensive tackles Cameron Young, Haggai Ndubuisi

HOUSTONDuring a workout on Thursday, the Texans tried out two defensive tackles.

According to league insiders, they worked out international prospect Chisom Haggain Ndubuisi and Cameron Young, a former Seattle Seahawks fourth-round draft pick.

According to a source, the Texans may sign both players next week even though they didn’t do so right now. Denico Autry and Kurt Hinish, the Texans’ backup defensive lineman, are both listed as active-physically unable to perform.

Last Monday, the Green Bay Packers cut Young, a player at Mississippi State. In two NFL seasons, Young, 25, has appeared in 17 games and collected 18 tackles and one quarterback hit. Young (6-foot-3, 304) has a time of 5.1 seconds for the 40-yard sprint.

It was through the International Pathway program that Ndubuisi was first introduced to the NFL. He has played with the New England Patriots, Washington Commanders, Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals, and San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League.

The 24-year-old Ndubuisi is from Lagos, Nigeria. He weighs 298 pounds and is 6′ 6″.

He played basketball and soccer as a child.
