Shocking Footage Reveals a Mob Robbing a California Mini-mart During a Flash Heist Close to the Airport

Early on Friday morning, a small convenience store next to the San Francisco Bay Oakland International Airport in Oakland, California, was destroyed by a gang of looters.

Startling CCTV footage reveals suspects in a flash mob destroying the business, smashing everything, pilfering shopping carts full of treasure, and rifling through the shelves and refrigerated area.

The owner of the 76 Gas Station & Mini Market on Hegenberger Road, Sam Mardaie, told FOX 2 that the robbers threatened two workers and inflicted an estimated $100,000 in damage to the business.

“This is the hardest thing you could ever go through … especially if you’ve been put in sweat and tears day in and day out,” Mardaie stated to FOX 2.

Additionally, he told the news station that after the crime was initially reported as priority two—meaning there were no suspects at the scene—it took “nine hours” for police to arrive.

After watching the security footage, Oakland Police informed FOX 2 that police were at the scene of the crime at 4 a.m. within 90 minutes. Fox News Digital has contacted law enforcement for a statement.

“They succeeded in their deed. Their stay lasted about forty minutes. In forty minutes, you could destroy a whole city,” Mardaie said to KNTV-TV. “Every time I think about it, the more it hurts.”

Mardaie calculated that roughly seventy suspects, connected to an illicit sideshow event in the area, broke into the mini-mart when it was operating on a window-only basis.
