Powerful Storms Leave Tens of Thousands in the Dark Across Indiana and Michigan With More Severe Weather Ahead

Severe storms downed trees and electrical wires, causing over 60,000 Indiana and Michigan electrical customers to lose power.

One fallen tree obstructed traffic on Cleveland Road near the railway tracks.

Several trees fell along Jefferson Road in Mishawaka and scattered over St. Joseph and Elkhart Counties.

The gusts of the brief storm were so fierce that they moved some street lights around.

With the storm front passed, expect lower temps today and Tuesday. More storms are forecast on Wednesday.
