Powerful Storm Set to Slam Northern California Heavy Rain, High Winds, and Coastal Flooding Expected

The Bay Area is getting ready for more bad weather that will start Friday evening. Through Saturday, it’s supposed to rain moderately to heavily. The North Bay is under a Flood Watch because coastal ranges could get 3 to 5 inches of rain. South winds could hit 60 to 70 miles per hour, which is why coastal and highland areas are under a High Wind Watch.

Coastal water worries will last until Sunday because of high surf and king tides. The system could also bring a few thunderstorms early Saturday, especially along the coast. Another small rain event is expected late Sunday night into Monday. The weather will then dry out and get warmer in the middle of the week.

People in the area are being warned to be on the lookout for floods, strong winds, and dangerous beach conditions.
