The Monument Police Department announced Wednesday about 3:20 p.m. that they were investigating after a corpse was discovered near Third Street and Vista Montana Lane.
Around 2:04 p.m., police reported that a deceased male was discovered near the Santa Fe Trailhead.
As of Wednesday, police stated they had found no evidence of criminal behavior related to the deceased.
The El Paso County Coroner’s Office will investigate the cause of death.
Police requested that the community avoid the area as they investigated.
