COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. – A man was badly injured in a high-speed crash on Wednesday night, according to fire officials.
Colleton County Fire-Rescue reported that the incident occurred on ACE Basin Parkway north of Green Pond around 10:06 p.m.
The pickup truck lurched to the right, overcorrected, and flipped several times before landing on its side in the median. The motorist was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected.
First responders discovered him approximately 50 feet from his truck. He endured multiple traumatic injuries, including a head injury. He was treated on the spot by emergency medical services before being transported to the Medical University of South Carolina’s Trauma Center.
