Paris Olympics July 29 Recap U.S. Men's Gymnastics Team Secures Bronze in Thrilling Performance

The U.S. men’s gymnastics team won bronze in the all-around team final on Monday. It was their first medal in 16 years (bronze, 2008 Beijing Games). The day’s awards for Team USA didn’t end there. In other events, Jagger Eaton and Nyjah Huston did very well for the U.S. in the men’s skateboarding street final, putting them in third and fourth place.

From Day 3 of the race, here’s what you need to know.

Gym: Stephen Nedoroscik saves the day for the USA in the men’s team final
In 2012, the US men’s gymnastics team won a medal at the Olympics for the first time since 2008.

With 259.594 points, Japan won the gold title again. With 259.062 points, China got silver, and the US came in second with 257.793 points.

Frederick Richard, Brody Malone, Asher Hong, Paul Juda, and Stephen Nedoroscik won the bronze prize with their men’s team. The U.S. needed three great pommel horse efforts in the last rotation to win the medal. Nedoroscik had to wait more than two hours to participate in his only event. He got a solid 14.866 for his clutch routine on the pommel horse, which pretty much sealed the deal.
