Paducah, KY – Western Kentucky is in for a brisk stretch of weather this week, with overnight lows dipping into the 40s and daytime highs staying mild as residents prepare for the Labor Day weekend.
Cool Overnight Temperatures
The National Weather Service in Paducah reports that many locations across the region will see temperatures in the mid-40s tonight, with some areas struggling to reach 50 degrees by daybreak. The chill continues a period of unseasonably cool weather, which is expected to persist through the weekend. Most nights through Sunday will remain in the 50s, keeping the region below seasonal norms.

Sunshine and Rain Chances

The National Weather Service also warns of potential fog during early mornings, which could reduce visibility along major highways such as I-24 and the Purchase Parkway.
Comfortable Afternoons
Despite the cool mornings, daytime highs will gradually climb into the lower 80s by the weekend, offering pleasant and comfortable afternoons. The pattern of cool nights and mild days is expected to continue, with no major weather disruptions forecasted.
“Outdoor events and travel plans should remain largely unaffected, with mostly sunny skies dominating through Labor Day,” the NWS said.
