Nebraska State Patrol Says a Guy From the Panhandle is Charged With Strangling a Woman and Shooting at Dog

BANNER COUNTY, Neb. – Police in Nebraska say a guy from Harrisburg strangled a woman and shot at her dogs. He is now in jail.

Andrew Jochem, 34, was nabbed by troopers in Harrisburg on Saturday. He is charged with third-degree assault, terroristic threats, using a deadly tool to commit a crime, and having a gun on him while committing a crime.

Court records show that when police went to the northeastern Pennsylvania home, they found that Jochem and the woman had a fight during which Jochem shot at her dogs.

Also, papers show that a gun was taken out of Jochem’s pocket.

The woman was said to have run away from the house, but she was later found hurt in the body and head.

Jochem was charged in Banner County Court and has a $75,000 bond to keep him in jail. To get out of jail, he has to pay 10% of the bond.

There was also help from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, the Banner County Sheriff’s Office, and the Scotts Bluff County Sheriff’s Office.
