Jordan Klepper, a reporter for the “Daily Show,” noted on Wednesday that even right-wing media outlets have blasted South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem (R) for writing about shooting her dog Cricket in a gravel pit.
“I would admit that for the past few years, I have been wondering how far the right-wing MAGA camp can go before they are considered to have gone too far. At this point, we are aware that it involves shooting your dog in a gravel pit. “Until Trump does it, that is not acceptable,” Klepper added, adding a crucial proviso before continuing his statement. In that case, every single Republican would have to kill their dog in order to continue being a member of the party.
Despite this, Klepper was eager to give credit to the conservative guests who criticized Noem for the narrative in her new memoir about killing Cricket, who was 14 months old, because she was “untrainable” and “dangerous.”
“Congratulations to the right-wing media for taking a stand against the killing of dogs,” he remarked.
However, that credit can only be used to a certain extent.
“You can hold your head up high and go back to your regularly scheduled segment, ‘Why Don’t We Toss the Migrant Kids Into the Grand Canyon,'” quipped Klepper, who is presenting “The Daily Show” this week. “You can go back to your regularly scheduled segment.”
