On the same day that a 7-month-old cousin of theirs was left in a “random” person’s yard in a car seat, the man they think he “knew” killed four members of that family, including two parents and a teenager. Police are looking for that man in Tennessee.
There are charges of first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony against Austin Drummond, 28. He is wanted in connection with the deaths of James M. Wilson, 21, Adrianna Williams, 20, Cortney Rose, 38, and Braydon Williams, the teen.
According to court records, he has been convicted of several crimes, such as armed robbery, mischief, and a “retaliate for past action” charge, which means that he hurt or threatened someone because they were involved in a legal case in the past.
District Attorney Danny Goodman Jr. of the 29th Judicial District said in an interview, “The victims were all from Dyer County, and we think the person who killed them knew all of them.” As of 2 p.m. local time, the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Drummond was still being sought and would be added to the state’s most wanted list.
According to a news release from the TBI, Drummond is still on the loose and should be seen as armed and dangerous.
Thursday, the police put pictures of Drummond online and told people that he was thought to be involved. A Facebook account with the same name and the same pictures that were shared by police is said to be “friends” with an account that has the same name as one of the victims, Williams. In September 2024, the person who had the profile said that he had been released from jail. This was after making several posts from what seemed to be a prison in the months and years before.
Records show that Drummond got 10 years in prison for armed robbery in 2015 after he stole $44 from a Circle K shop register.
Court records show that he told a worker, “I got the munchies,” before robbing the store with a gun.
Drummond said, “I’m not f—ing playing with you,” as he walked behind the counter. “Open the drawer.”
According to TBI officials, federal investigators and TBI agents were on the scene on Wednesday to help police with their “tragic” death probe. The bodies were found Tuesday in Lake County along Carrington Road in Tiptonville. Police say the investigation began when Wilson and Williams’ 7-month-old daughter was found in the front yard of an unknown person on Tuesday around 3:10 p.m.
“Dark-colored minivan or a white mid-size SUV” was said to have dropped off the baby in a car seat, which led police to Lake County. The bodies were found about five hours later, after the parents of the child had been identified, according to Goodman.
On Thursday, the Dyer County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook that they think Drummond is driving a 2016 Audi A3 with Tennessee license plates and damage to the driver’s side.
“Can you find him?” “Do not come near!” the office said.
