A facility across the street from McAllen International Airport, which was closed as a precaution, was the scene of the incident.
According to law officials, they later discovered additional ammunition, a second rifle, and backpacks that the suspect had brought. According to Rodriguez, Mosqueda’s motivation is still a mystery.
Rodriguez added that although one cop was hurt in the incident, it was not apparent whether the wound was from a bullet or debris.
Mosqueda reportedly arrived to the facility in a white vehicle with two doors. Rodriguez claimed that there was something written on the car, probably in Latin, but I’m not sure what it means or if it’s the main reason he’s here.
Mosqueda was reported missing from a Weslaco, Texas, location at approximately 4 a.m. on Monday, however she was connected to an address in Michigan. The Border Patrol facility is roughly 20 miles (32 kilometers) from Weslaco.
He opened fire on the federal building and our federal agents at this specific spot an hour and a few minutes later, Rodriguez added.
The details behind the missing person report and the person who reported it were not immediately disclosed.
