Levon Allen, the sheriff of Clayton County, has stated that a man from Clayton County has been taken into custody in North Carolina over allegations that he murdered his grandmother.
On Thursday, deputies conducted a wellness check at a property located on Clearview Circle in the downtown area of Riverdale. As soon as they arrived, they discovered an old woman who had sustained injuries to her face, neck, and torso, according to the officials.
Takeem Rshaad Moore, 33, the victim’s grandson, has been identified as the person suspected of being responsible for her killing, according to officials from the CCSO.
Moore was taken into custody in Buncombe County, North Carolina, once the United States Marshals Service and the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office were brought in to assist in the investigation.
According to the deputies, Moore is currently being held at the Buncombe County Jail without the possibility of bond in anticipation of his extradition to Clayton County.
Malice murder, aggravated battery, and aggravated assault charges related to family violence are among the charges that have been brought against him.
