On Sunday, a man in Tennessee was arrested for trying to shoot and kill a father who was picking up his kids from the home where the suspect’s friend lives with the kids’ mother. The suspect is said to have told the father, “I got a couple bodies under my name.” Police say the man said, “I will kill you” after a fight.
Court records show that on April 23, four counts of attempted first-degree murder were brought against Shakir Moss, 24. The event happened at a home on West Ball Road in South Memphis.
The charges against Moss say that he reportedly pulled out a gun and fired several rounds at the dad after being called over from the house next door. Police say that Moss’ friend lived with the mother of the victim’s children and challenged the man to a fight when he got there to get the kids and started fighting with the mom.
WREG says the dad agreed, which made the friend call over two guys from the house next door. Police say one of them was Moss.
Moss is said to have come over with a gun and made the death threat against the dad. The man put his kids in the car and tried to leave, but Moss shot at the car and hit it at least once, according to cops.
Since Monday, Shelby County court records show that Moss has at least five cases that are still going on. He had a bond of $2,025,000 and is due in court on Tuesday.
