The man who is accused of carrying out a “targeted” shooting in Harrison Township earlier this year is perhaps going to serve time in jail.
According to the documents filed in the court, Jerome Foster, who is 49 years old, entered a guilty plea on Wednesday in the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court after being charged with two counts of felony assault and one count of misdemeanor endangering children.
According to a representative for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, News Center 7 had previously reported that on February 9, deputies went to a call on Needmore Road regarding a car that had been fired at. The call was about a vehicle that had been shot at. Interstate 75 North, between Wagner Ford Road and Needmore Road, was identified as the location where the incident took place upon investigation.
The victim was allegedly targeted in the incident by the father of her children, and she came dangerously close to being struck by gunfire; nonetheless, she remained unscathed throughout the shooting, according to a representative for the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
The perpetrator of the shooting, who has been named as Foster, was found and taken into jail on February 12th.
The court filings suggest that as part of the plea agreement, three felony counts relating to firearms were dropped, in addition to a second misdemeanor offense of endangering children.
Foster is still being held in the Montgomery County Jail, and his verdict is expected to be handed down on April 24.
