Authorities in Lexington County are again asking for the public’s help as the search continues for a missing and endangered teenager who has been unaccounted for since late November.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department reported that 16-year-old Mackenzie Dalton left her Lexington-area home several weeks ago and has not been seen since. Deputies say the investigation remains active, and community tips are still a key part of efforts to locate her.
Dalton is described as approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing around 118 pounds. Investigators confirmed that the vehicle she reportedly left in, along with a suitcase taken from the residence, has since been recovered. However, her whereabouts remain unknown.
Officials believe Dalton may be traveling with an adult male she knows. Given her age and the extended period she has been missing, the case is being treated as an endangered juvenile runaway investigation, raising serious concerns about her safety and well-being.
The sheriff’s department is urging anyone who may have seen Dalton, has information about her location, or knows details about the individual she may be with to contact authorities immediately. Tips can be provided anonymously through the Crimestoppers mobile app or by calling 888-274-6372.
Law enforcement officials emphasize that even seemingly minor information could help bring Dalton home safely. Anyone with urgent or time-sensitive information is encouraged to contact local law enforcement without delay.
