Dekorra, Wisconsin — Two individuals were taken into custody late Friday night after a Columbia County Sheriff’s Office K9 Deputy uncovered a large cache of illegal drugs during a traffic stop along Interstate 90/94/39 in the Town of Dekorra. Authorities say the discovery represents one of the most significant narcotics seizures in the area this year.
Traffic Stop Triggered by Equipment Violation
According to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m. on November 7, when a deputy pulled over a vehicle for an equipment violation. During the stop, the deputy became suspicious after determining that the passenger had provided a false name and was attempting to conceal illegal narcotics in plain sight.
A search of the vehicle followed, revealing a variety of dangerous substances, including methamphetamine, fentanyl, LSD, Schedule II narcotics, and various drug paraphernalia. Both occupants were immediately arrested and transported to the Columbia County Jail.
Suspects Identified and Facing Multiple Charges
The driver was identified as 33-year-old Kaitlyn Goodell of Baraboo, who now faces an array of felony and misdemeanor charges, including:
- Possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine greater than 50 grams
- Possession of Schedule II narcotics

- Misdemeanor bail jumping
- Violation of probation
The passenger was identified as 42-year-old Phillip Von Behren of Madison, who faces similar charges. His charges include:

- Possession of Schedule II narcotics
- Possession of LSD
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Obstructing an officer
- Active Department of Corrections warrant
