The quiet roads of Warren County, Kentucky, turned into a crime scene after a shootout in Kentucky. A wanted person with a gun wound and a criminal record was caught in Tennessee. Jessie Ray Curtis, a 36-year-old convicted felon, was wanted for a number of crimes, such as first-degree burglary and having a gun while a convicted criminal. This happened a few days after the crazy gunfight on Ella Way in Bowling Green ended on April 22. According to WNKY, Curtis was arrested on Thursday.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office said that the incident started with a call about an accident on Murphy Road and a car that was trying to get away from the scene of the accident. After the first call, cops quickly got another one telling them about a shooting on Ella Way. This led to a second exchange of gunfire down Murphy Road as suspects tried to get away quickly in their cars, which was confirmed by police to be linked. According to a statement obtained by WBKO, witnesses said that several people were seen running off in different ways across fields before police arrived.

Many people were arrested in the tense hours after the killings. The police caught Joshua Culbreath after a foot chase. He was charged with having a gun while being a convicted felon because he had warrants out for his arrest. He was caught as part of a bigger sweep that also found an empty black Enclave hidden in a barn on Vance Lane. Property and cars connected to the crime could be searched with warrants, which led to another arrest. On Fox17, it was stated that Ella Way resident Jess Fitzgerald was charged with having a gun while being a convicted felon and trafficking marijuana.

As the Warren County Sheriff’s Office put together the pieces of the puzzle, the search for Curtis ended in another state. Jessie Curtis, who has tattoos all over his body, including on his face, was arrested in Tennessee. He will now have to deal with the consequences for his alleged role in the shootout and the outstanding warrants for previous crimes.
