In the Scary Case of Four Women Who Were Allegedly Held Captive in a Shipping Container

Police in Pennsylvania say they have arrested two men in connection with the accused kidnapping and rape of four women.

The victims’ names and ages have not been made public. On Monday, June 24, the Pocono Record, WNEP, and WFMZ reported that Pennsylvania State Police said Davaun Carlon Jackson and Isaiah Rogers-Keeney forced them into a car and drove them to another place.

According to online court records that PEOPLE looked at, Jackson, 29, and Rogers-Keeney, 19, have been charged with several crimes, such as kidnapping a child, rape, forced labor, and strangulation.

Authorities haven’t said how old the claimed victims are, but online court records show that several of the charges against the suspects are for crimes against children.

Authorities started their investigation early on Tuesday, June 25, when they got a tip about a car. The Pocono Mountain Regional Police and the state police then chased that car, according to WNEP and WFMZ.

State troopers told WNEP and WFMZ that when police found the car outside of a Walmart parking lot in Mount Pocono, Monroe County, Pa., they found Rogers-Keeney inside with a woman.

The police also say they saw Jackson leaving the store with a second person who is said to be a victim.

According to the Pocono Record, WNEP, and WFMZ, an investigation by the police found that Jackson and Rogers-Keeney had reportedly forced four women into a car on Monday.

Investigators say Jackson then locked the women in a shipping container on his land in Smithfield Township, Monroe County, where the women were taken, according to the news sources.

Authorities say Jackson bound three of them and threatened to kill them while brandishing several guns. He is also said to have sexually assaulted two of them, according to the news sources.

Rogers-Keeney is known to run cross-country at Wilkes University. On Wednesday, most of the information on a page with his name on the university website was taken down. It showed that he signed up for college in 2022.

The university told PEOPLE in a statement, “Wilkes University is aware of the incident and is taking all necessary and appropriate steps to address it.” We can’t say anything else about the current situation of any specific kids or the investigation that is still going on.

The “extremely violent offense” that Jackson and Rogers-Keeney are accused of meant that they could not get bail. Online court records show this.

The court records didn’t show if either of them had made a plea.

Jackson’s lawyer information was not provided. When PEOPLE called, a private lawyer listed for Rogers-Keeney refused to comment.
