Illinois Man Arrested After Allegedly Driving Under the Influence, Causing Crash, and Leaving Injured Victim Behind

According to court records, Tevyn Thorns, 28, was arrested by Loves Park Police for causing an accident that hurt a woman and then leaving the scene of the accident.

Around 5 a.m. on March 25, police were called to the corner of Forest Hills and Harlem Roads to find a Jeep that had been hit by another car and was now stuck on a pole. The woman told the police that the suspect got out of his car right away and ran away on foot.

After that, Thorns was quickly arrested by deputies from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman was hurt in the accident and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Later, the police found that Thorns’ licenses had been suspended in both Illinois and California, and he couldn’t show proof that the car was insured.

Thorns is accused of causing an injury accident, driving while high on drugs and drink, failing to slow down, driving without insurance, and driving with a license that has been suspended.
