IN CONWAY, S.C.— Authorities say a guy who was arrested Wednesday at the Shady Moss Townhouses in Conway committed a sex crime with a child.
A spokesman for the U.S. Marshals Service said that Anthony Brown was arrested after cops from Horry County and the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force went to his home around 3 p.m.
Police charged Brown with having sexual contact with a child, a spokesman said.
News13 got a copy of the police report that says Brown, who was 19 at the time of the alleged event, told the victim he was 16.
In the late afternoon of Wednesday, Brown was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center without release. He is still there.
