SAN FERNANDO, Calif. — Five people were shot and hurt at a home in the Los Angeles area, and then the suspect, a 61-year-old man, was caught on suspicion of firing at a police helicopter after locking himself inside.
Police said that when they got to the house in San Fernando just before 11:30 p.m. Saturday, they found four people who had been shot. ABC 7 reported that a fifth victim was later found at a hospital. Police in San Fernando found that he had driven himself there.
Police say the suspect locked himself in the house and shot at a Los Angeles Police Department chopper before being caught. There were no other injuries recorded.

The man could be charged with attempted murder and shooting at an airplane, among other things. He was being held on $9.8 million bail.
